This strikes me as something akin to the “Insane” achievement from WoW. They want to acknowledge that you’ve taken your time to perform such a task, but they don’t want to over-incentivise it either.

Oh come on Nintendo, why do you have to give such shitty rewards to your dedicated fans? I’m sure they feel absolutely poo’d off at this crap. What a lump of dung. I guano why they felt this was worth a pile, but this makes Nintendo a definite number 2 in my eyes.

Wait, I’ve yet to use a hammer in a shrine puzzle, and I’ve done like half of the shrines. Why have you “had” to use them? What have you encountered that prevented you from using a bomb instead? Or another weapon in the case of those stasis “golfing” puzzles?

Were you hoping for an in-game revelation that the hookshot was cut? Have you been anticipating the moment, 100 hours into Breath of the Wild, where Ganon looks at Link with a sinister smile and says, “There’s no hookshot!” Were you hoping to spend 400 hours uncovering every inch of Breath of the Wild’s massive world…
