You can walk to the Meadowland. Trust me I live 3 miles away from the Stadium there is a way to walk (I wouldn't recommend it but still)

Secaucus Junction is a shitshow without a game going on. One of the most poorly designed stations out there thanks in part to it being retrofitted to run basically all the NJ lines into that one station.
