My Prime Minster admitted to being a feminist the other day, and he is right-wing! Does feminism really turn people off?

It takes a few hours to get your PayPal money into your bank account over here- why does it take a few days for you guys?

Very good point. There are some things considered racist in the U.S that I was surprised about but then made sense when I learnt the history behind it.

I didn't like Miley's outfit because I thought it was ugly, not because she was showing flesh. I don't think wearing an ugly outfit makes someone a bad person.

I've never thought of Greek people, or many other people from Europe, as white. I guess I am an idiot!

I also suspect that the press isn't being as mawkish as it might usually be because the baby's parents are/were strong suspects.

Yeah- as I said to someone else the other day- I live the other side of the world and I remember reading about that case.

Brilliant idea! I would like to see fruit and vegetables cheaper for everyone though.

This thread is really nice to read. A bunch of folk have been making nasty comments and it bugs me. William has an actual job that involves saving people in danger and Kate seems like a nice lady. I have also read that they aren't planning to use a nanny.. Though so what if they did?

Having to say yay or nay is censorship?

I am mixed-race but I have olive skin. People ask my race and then call me a liar because they think all mixed-race people should look a certain way.

I heard that story as well and I don't even live in your country.

My husband chooses to play the female character on Mass Effect, and I also see him being Lara Croft quite often. I think it's a myth that men won't play women characters.

I organised a buffet for my wedding because I couldn't justify paying so much money for nothing. Sure, it meant I had to prepare food on my wedding day but it was worth it to save money.

So if I only have enough money in my pocket for a meal, not even a drink, then I should stay home? That's insane! Grocery stores don't refuse to serve you if you are just buying a pack of gum and not something expensive. When customers are told not to use a service there is something wrong with the system.

I kinda thought most American folk sent their children to camp in the summer- or is that just in books?

Britain isn't just London, yo.

The money made is going to charity, they kindly made a choice to volunteer their time.... The problem is?

The first thing I thought when reading this was: "Doesn't Jezebel remember when it published PHOTOGRAPHS of a woman being raped, and ignored how upset we all were that they did that?"

I was happy to get the free sample bags and just put down a fake address. I never put my real address on stuff like that!
