I can’t help but see the Senate blocking recess appointments as an incredibly good sign. I know they just resent ceding power to the President but given the way the GOP has bent over (backwards or forwards pick your preferred metaphor) for Trump has me worried.

He’ll just build a seawall. And France will pay for it.

Kelly will tighten up the office and the staff, but he can’t ever manage Trump for long. The more success Kelly has, the more the media will talk about his success, the more he will be seen as controlling Trump. That perception will nag at Trump until he literally can’t help but act out. Every single time.

Do you think it can last though? Every few weeks we’re promised that a new, more professional administration is just around the corner and then something happens that rattles Mr Orange’s cage and we’re back to square one.

Today the US lodged a letter with the UN announcing its formal withdrawal from the Paris accord. The US has also said it will still be attending future climate negotiations - presumably to try and sabotage them.

Those aren’t Trump tweets. Kelly obviously has someone showing up at 5:30 am now. I’m betting Hope Hicks looks real tired this week.

This is the one I can’t wrap my head around at all, especially with the aging Boomer crowd. I mean, conservatives are the ones who straight up long for a return to the Cold War era. Or, at least, they did. Right up until Donald Trump told them the Russians would save them from big bad Hillary Clinton. It just tells

Any country with a mafia and oligarchs is going to appeal to a certain kind of person.

No, and honestly there shouldn’t be a new election in a case like this. People knew what they were voting for. If they didn’t like Jim Justice, they could have picked someone else in the primary or voted for someone else in the general election. Getting a do over would reward carelessness.

People, look into who you are voting for. Look into their histories. I imagine this “Republicans in democrats clothing” thing will become a more common tactic as we fight back against voter suppression. The republicans have to resort to dirtier and dirtier tricks to stay in power.

That’s a 101 money laundering right there. Btw, is there a Republican without financial ties to Russia?

I was wondering how long it would take for the shady Russian ties to come out.

No offense, but STFU about Democrats being blindsided by this. This is a fucking WV democrat which means that the only “Democratic” principle he supports is the govt supporting dipshit farmers who can’t manage their own property without a govt handout.

Yeah, but luckily he has no business dealings with Russians or anything...

No need to get riled about this. Justice was as much of a Democrat as Mitch McConnell. A rich coal baron who doesn’t pay his taxes. It doesn’t change much.

Pence is actually a really shitty politician. I agree he has that mannequin face thing going on but if you look at his record, he was just terrible at governing Indiana and was looking at pretty lameduck future in the Republican party before Trump picked him. He proposed all kinds of nutball ideas (state run media

The FBI has been using these tactics against the mafia for decades. They broke through Omerta and got high-level capos to turn on their dons. And Trump is making the investigators’ work even easier by shitting on his aides and allies on a daily basis. There aren’t going to be many people willing to do time to save his

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHHAHA!

I’m going to need an industrial sized popcorn machine.
