It’s very troubling he’s coming back for this, unless it’s for an amazing revenge tour against Trump and the new GOP. Which would be so badass and I hold a small bit of hope for, however naive. But something is happening and the likelihood is it’s bad news.

I am very, very concerned that you are right. Especially if McCain makes a kind of “deathbed plea” to take the health insurance from 20 million Americans. The Republicans have until he reconciliation deadline, September 30th, to wiggle this thing through. They can keep building and rebuilding this Frankenstein’s

He’s not gonna have a change of heart. He’s gonna vote to repeal it. His party is more important than his own health and the health of millions of people.

I’m concerned that this vote will go through. McConnell’s argument at this stage is that everyone should vote on the motion to proceed to get the AHCA (the House healthcare bill) to the floor, even if they don’t like it, so that it can be amended over and over until it’s an acceptable form.

I feel like this is about to become a train wreck that we’ll never be able to look away from. After all of these well wishes from the likes of Obama and Clinton while Donald remains silent and McCain votes for the ACA repeal, it’s going to be a moment perfectly suitable for 2017 in the making.

Occam’s Razor would like a word with you.

McCain will vote for it, saying that there is need for debate. He will then vote for the final bill after a few fig-leaf amendments are attached.

It would be AMAZING if he voted no.

Frack. Of course you are right.

It’s nice that he’s going the extra mile to fuck a bunch of people over.

But perhaps McCain’s illness will encourage some rigorous self-reflection, and at last, a change of heart. Perhaps he’ll realize that in his last years, he could take a meaningful stand against his increasingly brutal party—and help to save lives in the process.

Senator McCain, now is your time to shine.

Anyone really think Maverick McCain will break from his idiot party? C’mon.

This is not his first episode of cancer. IIRC, he had skin cancer a few years back. Plus, his war injuries would also count as a pre-existing condition. But he’s had a cushy, tax payer funded plan for literally HIS ENTIRE LIFE.

“Trump, who was not a Boy Scout, got thousands of Boy Scouts to boo former President Obama, who was a Boy Scout, by suggesting that Obama never attended the National Scout Jamboree, even though he addressed the event in 2010 with a special video message in honor of the organization’s 100th anniversary.” ~ Trump is

It is kind of fucked up that Sessions is getting this much heat because he was TOO ethical. It’s mind boggling to me that this might be the thing that gets him canned — not the racism. Not the drug war. Not the contempt for civil liberties. But the time that he declined to help the President obstruct justice.

Anyone else have those days when you can’t focus at work, because you’re sure Donnie is going to do something catastrophically stupid and you end up going from news site to news site?

Yet another person with connections to Russia is going to be in the government. Oh wow, yeah, there’s totally nothing going on with Russia at all. Nope, no, no siree!

Oh, Giuliani is just as bad as Sessions on race, drugs, voting rights and pretty much any policy one can think of. He can occasionally sound more tolerant because he lives in New York, where it is a necessity.

And I’m kind of enjoying Sessions refusing to resign. He’s fucking with Trump right back.
