Ugh!

It’s completely fathomable. Tillerson can be relied upon to lie about what went on in the meeting.

I expect that, once details of the ‘agreements’ start to float out, it’s going to put the Republicans in a really hard position of having to defend very lenient promises to the Russians.

It is unfathomable to me that HR McMaster, our National Security Advisor, wasn’t included. All US experts on Russia have said it is completely inconceivable that McMaster and Fiona Hill (who handles Russia matters for the National Security Council) were not included in the meeting. But what Putin wants, Putin gets...

He came awfully close to kissing his ring.

For real! Clearly he is intimidated by Putin and knows he can’t get away with his macho man bullshit. Such a pathetic fucking loser our president is.

Trump can saber-rattle all he wants via Twitter when he’s at a golf course, but when he travels abroad it becomes obvious that he is a hack who is not respect by world leaders, and he lacks the intelligence and motivation to be a patriot.

Think of it: Two years and not one ill word or comment about Putin or Russia.....not one. Now he is “honored” to meet him.

Body language-wise, aside from Trump’s usual bowel movement stance, the palm all the way facing up is total submission. Not shocking, but still gross.

well, yeah, I’m always super deferential to my boss, too!

If you had millions of loans tied to Russian banks run by Putin, and had been laundering money for him and his gang for decades in order to secure those loans, and if your election to POTUS was due to Putin tampering with the US election and having our voting machines hacked, you’d be puckering up too.

I’m with you. I always assumed that, even though we all knew what they were inside, a sane enough system was in place to keep the Republicans from being able to cross the line to full blown fascism without suffering serious consequences.

Boy does this picture ever make me uncomfortable. From what I understand, at least in Germany, the Confederate flag is flown in place of a swastika because Germany has banned it. Considering Europe’s own far right and Trump’s fascist tendencies, people flying confederate flags at this rally is super disconcerting.

I know, it’s terrifying how quickly this has gone belly up. I remember in 2004 how we all speculated that beneath the “values party” veneer they were all probably fucking fascists, but I never really believed that the entire party would fucking pull their masks off, burn them, and dance around gleefully shrieking

“Maine’s fun-loving Republican governor Paul LePage implied that he makes up stories to confuse the press; in a radio interview, he also said “the sooner the print press goes away, the better society will be.”

The West has never been more secure, at least from a military perspective. Our problems are with rising inequality and a citizenry desperate to give their civil liberties to someone who promises to protect them from the nasty foreigners. It’s pathetic how easily terrified we are.

Give what a try? What did you fucking try? The only thing you tried was tweeting fawning dumb shit that in no way indicated any sort of formal agreement so your braying shithead supporters forgot you campaigned on being ‘tough on Jyena’ and ‘labeling them a currency manipulator day 1'. Instead we’ve had no indication

I am Black, my football-obsessed husband is Black, and our kids are Black. I owe Kaepernick a lot. His protest started some heavy but necessary conversations in our house about our place in this country.

You’ll sound less dumb if you stop saying “wypipo”.

As a 49er fan, I was beyond disappointed in that comment from Lynch. Players do things to benefit the communities they come from all the time. They literally show spots during games of guys playing at the boys and girls club, etc. So insinuating that a player has less than total commitment to his job just because he
