My EXACT thoughts. Where on earth is this considered "diverse" aside from Hollywood. I still hold hope they will announce another female actress, preferably someone who also POC.

I got the impression that the Others are the White Walkers, that they changed their name to more ominous one (shame really) for the TV show and maybe something less confusing and more distinct.
ehem ehem
Damn! Beat me to it!
I don't think so. I read an interview somewhere that said the movies would directly affect the show, but not the other way around. From that interview (too bored to search for it now) I got the impression that the show would be in it's own little corner without coming into play in any of the movies.
I'm with you on that. The orcs in LotR were wonderfully disgusting with make up and prosthetics, whereas in The Hobbit they were like a video game. too much CGI looks unrealistic imo.
I got into Tolkien's world in 2002, I was 13 and I read the Fellowship of the Ring because the movie had a good buzz but I hadn't seen it yet so I thought I should read the book first. It made me the nerd I am today and gave me a lot of nice messages too. Plus being a 13 year old girl and reading about Eowyn being a…
exactly. pretty much everyone, even the popular characters are worse in the books. Tv Cersei is a little more sympathetic (okay not "sympathetic" but less unlikable than the books, with the whole "Robert never loved me" thing) Tywin is a complete scumbag and not the charming but tough dude they make him, and so on for…
Jamie Lannister hands down.
you guys are all feeling bad for the archaeologists. Well as an art conservator in training, lemme tell you, we probably have it worse. Joking aside though, I do wonder if the excrement is considered valuable enough to be preserved. I mean whenever a similar object is found with remains of lets say oil, other organic…
For me the how many of books a person reads doesn't mean much. For instance in 2013 I read a total of 16 books (not including comic books), which for my pace was good. Also it depends on the kind of books a person reads, last year I read Catch-22 which a great but difficult book, which I read in English and it's not…
Yeah. It would make me take the show a little more seriously than the toy stunt guns level it currently is. Also it would give the show gravity and a much needed change. Killing off a main character is a great way to make your show an "anything goes" vibe, like in Game of Thrones.
that's when I stopped watching the show. In the first 4 seasons there were actual geek jokes (Sheldon fighting with Stuart about "Battle for the Cowl", GOLD) after a while all the jokes were "Sheldon has done something weird. hahahaha. laugh. the producers tell you too." also the female-geek representation was awful…
He seems to go for Red
What you're looking for is inconsistent writing. In one episode the team has the lay of that land down to the splinter with maps and gadgets e.c.t., in another they fall in traps waaaay to easily, like they didn't even consider it (form the" we're way-totally-evil corp, guys!" *GASP*). In one episode Ward is highly…
This comes to mind about Disney right now
and she continually learns from her mistakes, she is no longer naive, she knows that she should trust no one, she is quite intelligent and has good people skills. she is growing in a very believable way that in the long run, I think, will put her in a powerful position, whichever that may be.
Personally, I think Sansa has one of the a very compelling story-line in the books. Her groth and transformation is more gradual and subtle than the "MAH DRAGONS"-Daenerys Fire and blood yadda yadda and she gets a ton of hate for making perfectly normal mistakes that most 13- year-olds would make. She is constantly…
The supporting cast on this show was way better than Echo and Ballard. Actually the leads dragged the show down IMO. And yes Topher was the easily the most compelling character with a great story arc.
But what's the point of making a TV show that only exists so kids can buy merchandise if no one is watching it. I mean with the way ratings are dropping, do you think it will last for at least 5 seasons?
