That is because FPS games have gotten so much faster than during the Halo days. When ever I fire up a game like the newer Doom and then go back to play the OG one it just feels like something is missing.

Fighting games have a limited pool of potential inputs at any given time, so it’s much easier to predict what the players are gonna do than it would be in a more open 3D game.

There is no guarantee of that, though. It’s been pointed out many times before, but Glameow hasn’t been capturable since Pearl. Knowing Game Freak, the odds of more Pokémon being like that are pretty high.
