I think this is a case of it being too embarrassing for Twitch to admit that they didn’t realize it was a joke and unban him. That, and setting a precedent for unbans isn’t something they would want to do.

Why does anyone think a gay character would make straight men angry?
Except they weren’t just piling on this player for the sake of being a woman and making up bullshit reasons to harass them, the impetus behind all of this was just how sketchy the whole thing was.
I understand. I’m more angry with the sexist attitudes that were on display after she “left”. Again, even if Ellie was fake, the behaviour on display doesn’t exactly make Overwatch appealing to women. We need to call people out when they act like jerks.
“Not the case, period”
What? Absolutely none of this involves hacks or cheats. Every bit of this is just using in game mechanics to achieve unexpected results. If you think this “isn’t a feat of the human mind” then where do you think it came from? Did a machine come up with the route and the glitches?
So instead of ignoring the thing you don’t like, you don’t think anyone should do it? How self-centered do you have to be to come to that conclusion?
It takes a lot of patience, practice and discipline to be able to pull off glitchruns at this speed and precision. It absolutely is a feat of the human mind.
Sucks for you. I’ve been having a blast for years.
Thanks for this man. As someone who went up against one of the best in Alberta. I suddenly realized how wide the difference was between a guy who just plays (me) and a guy who fights (him). They put so much time and dedication in compared to someone like me, that it is amazing.
For you maybe but for everyone that wants to play games on a high competitve level it’s expected. It’s maybe not the most fun part of it but after it’s done you can have more fun again.
You apparently also like to make inane comments with no point. Seems to be a theme with you or something.
I wonder if any of the services that were targeted by booters used Cloudflare. I've always wondered how well it’s able to combat DDOS attacks.
AMP IT UP!
They could have handled this way more gently, and that response was imho, what probably threw them into overtime to get this out asap... even if this was free and nobody had any right or entitlement to the costume being in the game, it was teased, and then they responded to fan outcry in a bad manner
It’s not about using the dance. It’s about SELLING the dance as add-on content without giving proper credit and compensation.
If that bothers his partner, that’s their business. Some people are insecure, some people have things they don’t feel they can help. I don’t know his circumstances, but if he felt that was necessary to keep his relationship healthy, I don’t think it’s our place to criticize.
So what you’re saying is he recognizes his consequences have actions and is taking steps to prevent negative outcomes in his control. Hmmm, sounds like maturing to me.
uh, looking at the big picture and making a business decision that will benefit you is being mature. As opposed to say, continuing to play a roll you don’t believe in to satisfy a toxic community so you can maintain your reddit cred.
Translation: My advertisers don’t like me using naughty words, and I like truckloads of money being backed up to my house on the reg, so I’ve “matured”
