I actually really like this. Its a genuinely well designed and attractive subcompact.

The current gen Focus. Before I drove one, I would have heartily recommended them. But after having driven several, I hate the way they drive. I hate the interior layout. I hate the infotainment sytem. I just don’t like them at all.
Its not replacing the F-22, they serve completely different purposes. In effect its replacing the F-16 and the Super Hornet.
Fair, though Finnegan knows a lot more about modern stuff than he usually lets on. He used to be real big in the minitruck scene back in the day.
Tony has slowly been getting better, but he really does not have a natural TV personality. He annoyed me too much at first but im willing to stick with him as of now.
This needs to be the obligatory reply when Buzz Killington makes a comment on anything, ever.
Okay like, I don’t especially hate the Prius. Its a car. But, this is just awful. I don’t know what they were going for here with the front styling but they missed it by a country mile.
We have a couple of these in our rental fleet at work and I love them. They are actually very attractive (as much as a small CUV can be anyway), they have nice interiors, they ride well, and are actually kinda fun to drive.
They do that now. People ignore it.
Those wheels and that slight drop make this car go from “yeah okay” to “holy shit”
Its definitely not as elegant, but its one way to go faster, so *shrug*.
They definitely do modify them extensively. Just as one example, racing Merlins actually use later Allison V-1710 connecting rods because they are significantly stronger under high boost and RPM. Standard Merlin rods fail in short order when running 2500+ HP. Its safe to say that most engines are running double if not…
Technically yes, but in aircraft terms counter-rotating generally refers to twin engine setups where the torque from one prop counteracts the torque from the other. Contra-rotating refers to twin opposite rotating props powered by the same engine hooked to gear reduction.
The ancillaries were also completely redesigned, which allowed it to be basically the same size as a Merlin but have roughly a third more capacity.
Its actually the prop and hub assembly (and engine essentially) off an Avro Shakleton. MUCH MUCH easier to come by.
I was with you until you clamied that the “shitty” cars disetigrating is a bad thing. The reason they disentegrate like that is to disperse energy. If they did not do that then a lot more force would be transferred to the driver, and you would have a lot more of the fatalities and injuries that you seem to be so…
Thats definitely (large) ammo cooking off.
Buncha weenies. I saw worse fights in 9th grade.
There is one particular light that I stop short on on purpose, and its because EVERYONE loves to cut the opposing turn short. EVERYONE. I have seen far too many people forced to back up and create so much of a problem because semis cut the turn into the lane. Fuck that, i’ll just stop 10 feet short so I don’t even…
Quite a few B-26s had additional nose mounted guns for ground attack as well.
