It hasn't. Fans were pissed when it was released on PC because it was such a letdown coming from Square-Enix's last MMO (that is very successful) Final Fantasy XI. They've made strides to re-build the game and are trying to make amends with A Realm Reborn: Final Fantasy XIV.

XIV is an Online game. MMO. It's coming out this year on PS3 and PC. On PS4 next year.
