I had previously read the article you linked I feel like I must have done a bad job expressing myself in my original comment. I’m not saying hey, Gwyneth has proven that poor people can and SHOULD subsist on rice and beans. I’m saying the opposite. What she got for her 29 dollars is exactly what we’re told poor people

I agree. I don’t think we should put our noses in other people’s carts at all. What I was trying to say is, this is what we are told over and over again is “acceptable” poor people food. Rice and beans, rice and beans! Gwyneth puts it with some fresh veggies and GASP! LIMES! And suddenly it’s about how out of touch

I feel like Gwyneth paltrow bought exactly what poor people are always told to eat. “If they would eat rice and beans or lentils then they could afford healthy vegetables. There’s no excuse for poor people eating junk” I’ve heard that plenty of times right here both as a joke and in seriousness. Well this is exactly

Glamorise No Bounce

They do when they’re Disney stars.

Dress Barn definitely has some cute stuff. So does Cato’s but I don’t think they are everywhere.

Land’s End. The price point isn’t much different than Land’s End, the quality and fit is better. I buy a lot of LE and a lot from Old Navy. If I could afford it, it would be 100% LE.

I really enjoy working with a trainer. I don't see her every week, we meet periodically, she gives me some workouts to do that challenge me and work all the various bits that need worked, and when those stop pushing me, we get back together and do it again. I don't hate the social element of classes, but they can be

I haven’t even watched it but dude. THE DUMBEST THING ON TELEVISION? Have you SEEN television lately? I mean...come on.

This was in high school, the summer before my senior year. I had to take drivers ed in the city, and my family lived way way waaaaaaay out in the boonies. It was over an hours drive to get to my driver’s ed class, but they were required before you could get your license. So my stepdad drives me into town for class in

Well isn't this interesting. I get kidney stones, but enjoy the delicious leafy greens.

Hah! I actually like kale, but I bought a big bag recently and no matter how much I eat there never seems to be less and it's amazing. IS it growing in there? What is happening.

Have you had the x-rays done to see if you have them? If they haven't come in and you're not having any pain or problems...there might just not be any up there. They checked me and I am wisdom tooth free which, per my dentist, means I'm in the next stage of human evolution, gettin' rid of things we don't need anymore.

Man. I'm not going to tell you what to do, and it's great that you can get your school paid for but I am going to give you a couple questions to think about.

Yes...at a school I know of the faculty one year got a 1% raise...and then was asked to "voluntarily" donate 1% back to a fund raising effort. All while being told how lucky w...they were for getting a raise at all in the current economy.

I'm definitely trying. It's hard to balance eat less calories with eat more of this specific thing.

My problem is that I am NOT an elite athlete. At all. Even a little bit. So I have trouble believing I really need this stuff. I work out for an hour to an hour and a half 5 days a week (on average) but I don't really feel like I'm an ATHLETE who needs powerade or whatever.

So, I am losing working hard to lose weight (50 lbs down) and I am doing the couch 2 5k training. Previously, most of my cardio has been either on the elliptical or incorporated into my HIIT workouts. Recently, I've been having some knee problems and some muscle cramps and my dr. recommended that I drink Pedialyte

I have a legit tipping question. Today I had to go to a board meeting for a professional organization. We were served lunch, and it was accompanied by excellent service, but when I asked the people I was with if we were supposed to tip, they told me no. I don't know if a gratuity was included in the bill because I

I live some place CHEAP. 6 half hour sessions with my trainer is 100 bucks. And she gives you a generous "half hour" with that. I like having my workouts set to half an hour because even busy days I usually have a half an hour and if I have more time, I can combine them or (what i do most often) add cardio.
