Reading the Wiki article I can see how sleep paralysis could be a possible explanation for ghostly encounters and the like. In my experience it comes across as being so very real it's terrifying.

That's happened to me several times. I get the feeling someone is in the room and I can't move even though I'm "awake." It's very disconcerting.

After reading it, I really wanted a spin-off of Supernatural that focused on the exploits of the 17th Century Campbells. That would be an awesome show.

If you get the chance you should read it. Half the book is from the view-point of the 17th century New England Campbells.

My nerdy architecture sensibilities are all a tingle.

@Chip: It should be on Netflix 90 days later. Not great but better than waiting a full year for the DVDs.

I never got into True Blood. But with past seasons now on HBO Go I may have to give it a second chance.

I'm already going through Game of Thrones withdrawal. Must re-read the books...

Damn you, Louis. You've convinced me to watch this. And it's on Netflix Instant so I don't have to wait.
