I’m not disagreeing with you but I’m trying to figure out if there should be criteria more specific than “he was really dominating” or “His name is Mariano Rivera”. Totally on board with closers and DH in the hall but since this is new ground it’s going to take more than subjective claims to make it happen.

I’ll readily admit to being biased about this but the point I was trying to make was that whether or not he would get your hypothetical vote, to pretend he’s not even in the conversation is taking it a bit far.
