You do realize that there’s no AAA software house that only employs people from that country? Big studios are literally made and driven by talented people coming from all over the world. While publishers will not weight in, developers can and should.

I cannot tell you if sony takes money or not from submission as it’s probably covered by some nda I signed years ago, but believe me, they don’t make a lot from that or from devkits, they cover their expenses (QA, manufacturing devkits, all the staff that manages developer accounts and submissions and so on)

no not really. the main issue with today digital storefronts is “discoverability”, too much offer can actually be counter productive as the user needs to pretty much scavenge/hunt through your store.
