seems like you don’t even know what are you talking about. It’s very easy to develop stuff that are compatible with every single vr hardware there’s out there. GearVR uses Oculus APIs and rendering system and there’s an open sdk that supports oculus and vive. Everything is freely and easily accessible.

I was skipping comments quickly, my bad :)

you know you just replied to a post from 2010 right?
(Besides Super Castlevania 4 ost is not even comparable to Rondo of Blood)

“I really feel like Batman’s origin is a criminally underused story.”
Wow, I never expected this sentence from anyone... compared to Spiderman’s? Maybe it is.. but there are like, 200 slightly different takes on Batman’s origin story, Spiderman is probably few uncle ben’s murders higher because had more reboots

and that proves what besides the fact that VR gets people excited since the ‘90s? They barely were able to render textured polygons back then, today’s VR is completely different.
It’s like saying “first model cellphones were bulky unusable things, and if we base things on that phones are not going to last long”. Even

so it’s just your stupid uninformed opinion against the whole industry right now

they are cheapasses and don’t want to pay the ticket.
(or you know, they don’t want to be stage to stage with the competition and instead run their own thing)

and the proof or even an argument that’s not fucking retarded that’s a fad is?

who cares about Zuckerberg? There are people like Carmack and Micheal Abrash behind this stuff, and a lot of other great engineers at Valve and HTC, they are doing amazing things. The price is high sadly, but we have a Vive in our office and people went nuts for it, I have an “old” DK2 at home and I speedran the whole

The only people calling it a fad are the ones that either never tried it or briefly tried it in a crowded event with dirty and possibly out of focus lens and got sick.
They are doing two new consoles just for that (three if you count NX in) plus oculus and vive on pc so if it’s a fad it’s going to be quite a big one

it’s going to get better and cheaper

that’s just a wrapper, you can code for the Vive and not for the Oculus if you want to. And OpenVR’s oculus implementation is pretty shitty right now, if you want proper Oculus support on a AAA game right now you HAVE to use the official SDK and go as low as you can.
They can still do a Vive only game if they want to.

thankies, just got it... too bad they didn’t show the first dungeon, I’d like to see how it looks in a proper in-door scenario

only that vr is not a fad

Hey Stephen, has someone asked if there are proper dungeons? or it’s everything set in... the wild?
There was also a rumor about Link talking, I hope that’s not true

looks cool even if entirely trial&error based

the gif that loops well is using the front guy with the hands on his face to cut the scene, while he sweeps over the camera the old scene (first frame) uncovers from right to left, it’s a neat little trick

well Red Lynx did one game that got them acquired by ubi, it’s obvious that ubi is now trying ways to milk the shit out of that game

There are no cons, it’s a great news for everyone.
Less Steam dominance on PC? Good.
Crossbuy and Crossplay? Super-good.
MS owned IPs like Halo and Gears plus exclusives like Scalebound and Sea of Thieves on PC as well? Fantastic.
It’s the best thing right now announced at E3 this year.
Let’s just hope they do a store

Visor from Quake 3 vs Quakeguy from the original.
Visor is shown using wallhack and the q3 gauntlet, so it’s probably going to have ulti and skills like Overwatch (but let’s hope it’s fast paced!)
