I always try and read one from the top, bottom and middle (from the most respected publications I can find). Different places on the opinion spectrum tend to have different views, and together often provide a complete picture of what I can reasonably expect.

So- you each have an opinion. Neither of you is objectively right, and you can both enjoy your systems of choice! That's our conclusion, right?

Hooray ignorant xenophobia!

AHEM, "the grammar and typos in this article is exceedingly bad"? They ARE exceedingly bad.

Good point haha- I guess there is the possibility that video games could be construed as totally reliant on technology in some capacity to get their point across, moreso than other media, and maybe that could be a limiting factor.

Not really, but I'd argue films like The Great Dictator and Wizard of Oz are still loved and cherished on most standards despite their very old age.

I was lamenting the loss of the #speakup link on the home page of the old layout. I can't find one here unless I'm missing it.

I think that's what I said in there, unless I'm misunderstanding you.

I just remember some "oh, shit- thats cool!" moments.

Aw, Ape Escape! I'll take you're advice and preserve my awesome memories of it.

It's kind of a way to circumvent the whole "advancement of technology" thing.

Splinter Cell isn't that special nowadays, but I seem to remember it having some innovative gameplay at the time. Maybe I'm remembering incorrectly...

The point a lot of people seem to think is relevant is that pixels age better than polygons, so maybe those 'retro' games have an advantage.

That picture is so much win.
