There’s a fine line between being overly sensitive to things and things that do need to change. Simpsons is specifically aimed at stereotyping it’s whole cast so it makes sense in the context of the show.

It isn’t just black men. I’m Hispanic/Latino and grew up in the ghetto and hoods. Shows like this along with comic books were an escape from the crappy real world. It also helped set generally good morals and wanting to be the good guy in life.
