Well now yeah thankfully. I can’t imagine; “Please insert cassette tape #3 and fastforward to 10 minutes and 33 seconds to proceed with your attack”.

I disagree. When Vader’s choking the Imperial Officer and Tarkin says “Release him”, Vader’s “As you wish” is heavily laced with “I don’t have to do as you say, but I will just to move things along”. I’ve always seen them more as equals, but with different areas of responsibility.

Yeah if anything it’s Empire Strikes Back that pushes up Vader as the possible big bad, the first Star Wars shows him answering to Tarkin and makes it very clear that no one else in the empire really gives a shit about his whole “force” thing. It’s ESB that brings the idea of an entire empire commanded by evil jedi.

Although it was odd to see the radio tech in the chain of command. Imagine Radar being the one in charge when Colonel Potter is busy.

Artemis was awesome. I'm gonna have to read it again!

Are we getting a film adaptation of Artemis at some point?

It was Lord and Miller too, so it sounds like they’ve moved on to this Weir adaptation instead.

The end of Artemis has some REAL PROBLEMS.  You have to be a big Weir fan let the author get away with it.  I don’t think movie audiences would be so forgiving.

“Tyler was mainly notable for being very blond and American for someone called “Jose” so I don’t think anyone would object if they went with an actor of actual spanish descent there.”

Yeah that’s true, two half-hour animated shows with 13 episodes each and two hour live-action shows with 10 episodes each is still less overall content than we got in the 90s when TNG and DS9 were both airing. But I prefer it this way, I’d rather have two focused series than one with filler.

I do think you’re right. Didn’t they just announce this week that Tom Cruise got cast?

He’s been steadily employed on TV and in film.

Yeah, I’ve never been a huge fan of  “Take Me Out to the Ballgame.” And I love baseball.

The answer you are looking for is "Steins;Gate".

Person of Interest.

Doesn’t “The Good Place” cover all the criteria?  Or is it not considered Sci-Fi and is just fiction?

Buffy and Angel, though the latter may fail your test because the end was a bit rushed.

They don’t leave plot lines hanging, or cliffhangers unresolved.

I’m a niche audience here, but I think The Leftovers qualifies. That show alienated a lot of people, but it really touched my heart and layered the focus and mystery with every season, while ending the show on a phenomenal high.
