I think a lot of these actors lack the nuance of being a Vulcan. Jolene Blaylock, Tim Russ, and damn near every actor they’ve put pointy ears on since Nimoy must’ve been coached to simply act as wooden as possible, avoid any kind of facial expression whatsoever, and call it good.

I actually like that Kelvin Spock “evolved” quicker than OG Spock and think it makes sense in the alternate timeline. Nimoy’s Spock is iconic, but his struggle with his dual nature always struck me as sad. Especially since we saw in both timelines it was rooted in his never being quite good enough for pops and full Vul…
