Agreed, I’ve always worked under the assumption that Stormtroopers are Stormtroopers, they just get different outfits depending on where they’re stationed. Heck, the sub-designations (which- correct me if I’m wrong- aren’t ever actually spoken in the films) could easily just be colloquialisms referring to

I hate when movies are so dark. it’s one of the reasons I like Marvel. They’re generally well lit. Except the Thor movies. I couldn’t stand the first one cause it was so dark for half of it.

This raises the question: is it actually an “easter egg,” much less a “big one,” if no one can actually find it? Because at this point, obviously people have obsessively gone over every frame of that film, looking for comic book references, and they haven’t found it. That rather indicates that it is not, in fact,

I think episode 1s flaws were just so jarring for most people, that they couldn’t enjoy its good points. They also don’t repeat their viewing of it and in general have a bad opinion of it. Episode 7 by contrast is just fun to watch with flaws that are more apparent on repeat watches than the first time in theaters.

You can get the faux-leather collectors editions on Amazon pretty decently priced.

well, hello!
When they first came online at dmsguild, the MM 1e was not available (IIRC), due to copyright issues with some of the artwork.
But lo! there it is now!
Thanks for that!

So the Darth part is in the legs... interesting.

While I disagree somewhat with your order, I applaud your inclusion of Galaxy Quest.

I disagree entirely. Although Deep Space Nine appears to crib heavily from Babylon 5's premise, they are different enough stories that I don’t believe you can quite argue that one is better executed than the other.

DS9 was more consistent in its overall quality, but B5 had the higher highs.

Exactly. I was eight when the phantom menace was released, and in middle school when episode III was released. I grew up with those movies, and while I acknowledge they’re not as great as the original trilogy, I still enjoy them. I personally still believe that episode III is a better film than return of the Jedi.

I’m with you, John. The prequels certainly had their faults (Jar-Jar, pretty much the entire presentation of The Phantom Menace, the awful romance of Ep. II, and the awkward pacing of Ep. III), but they were not the horrid disasters of cinema that pop-culture paints them as. They were intriguing, ambitious, and

Hi, I’m John and I’m what I guess you could call a “prequel defender”.

If you look at the last picture you can see that it’s highly modular with pieces maybe 1.5’x1.5’ or so.

Fortunately they found another Brent Spiner scientist on Omicron Theta.

Now playing

This had already been done, to fairly convincing effect, in The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles episode “Mystery of the Blues”, with a special guest appearance by Harrison:

That sounds like a good idea. It would neatly solve the continuity issues, let the new Indy get his notes straight from the horses’s mouth, would save Ford from having to do any of his own stunts, and would probably make the fans as happy as fans ever are. So what I’m saying is.. It’ll never happen. :)

They already tried to pass the torch in Crystal Skull and it didn’t work. Making the narrative more muddy wouldn’t help I don’t think. A lot of folks said Shia Lebouf was a bad casting choice for the New Indy but really the only good casting to play Harrison Ford is Harrison Ford.

this is genius. Hope disney is listining!
