I'm with you. I dunno how big the lots in the States are, but where I'm from (south central Europe), it's sometimes hard to fit a family sedan between two taken spaces without dinging them when people open doors on either side of your vehicle.

C'mon guys, next time hide the plates with a bit more refinement. I'd be ashamed to show pics like this to anyone. Surely you can afford the minute of time that this takes. And if you're somehow stuck with mspaint, use GIMP. It's free: http://www.gimp.org/
That is most likely the case, however, considering there is work involved in mounting a different engine and the price to buy it... Might not actually be that far apart when you sum up all the bits. Either way, let us know how it goes. :)
Lovely MX-3, always wanted one, never really had a nice one pop up at a decent price when looking for a car. Anyway, what you wanna do with that thing, if it's a B6D engine (should be, according to power), is add a turbo to it. It was practically meant for the damn thing and a couple of local guys had one turbo'd and…

Hahah. :D What a shit article. They're even worse at what they're calling you out on. Pricks.

The bit that bugs me here is as follows. Feel free to correct me and point out the flaws in my logic.

I want an '86 (my birthyear) SPG very very badly. Ended up getting a 9000, due to non flexible budget at the time of looking. I very much doubt you're in my country (Slovenia), since we'd prolly know each other by now (small SAAB community), so I can hardly help you wrench. We do have a few experts here, though, so if…
Epic turbo lag, I dunno, I know a few people with about that amount of power form their turbo-4s in the 900 and 9000 and I wouldn't describe it as epic. Granted, mine is a 2.3T in the same powerband, but I've seen many slower spooling turbos.
A fun film, aye. :D
Thanks for the suggestion. :) I have been looking into making some of my own. Since winter is coming, I might brace my car. That is, work on that stuff. I've been meaning to teach myself welding for a while now, so it seems like a perfect opportunity.
Thanks. :) I suppose there are better automotive things in life, but my 9000 was bought for 1850 euro and I can't think of a better alternative on the local used car market.

Another example is this really short bit, but it is part of my commute if I spend the night at my girlfriend's. Really brightens up the start of my day... in addition to some morning nookie. :3
Fair bit of hoonage going on around here. In this example, a Renault Twingo RS. Again, not me. I really should record a nice drive.

My SAAB 9000 is a '96, with driver & co-driver airbags and some additional improvements over this '86 example. Still, this should do for an illustration.
South Central... Europe, Slovenia. :)
