That really depends on the type of failure :) Irrelevant though, now that we know there was no failure.
I think what might have made other alternatives plausible is that the car (IIRC) was leaving a mechanic/modification shop, yes? It wasn't like the car had been on the road for hours and days, miles upon miles, and then suddenly something catastrophic failed. The car made it a mile from the shop. Now, perhaps what…
Stanced cars can't drift? My understanding is that stanced cars have compromised grip and shit stability, which while not the best for professional drifting, makes for easy hoonage drifting. The guy has no problem getting it sideways, but he can't hold a stable smooth drift for even a fraction of a second.
And I can understand you not wanting to be friends with people that believe certainly things to be true and not others. I may not agree with it, but I can understand based on the number of other people I know that dismiss people outright based on their views of global warming, political party, or what they do for…
"except we are not told to treat people a certain way or else we burn in hell. Most of you guys really feel the same way except you are pressured to obey."
Until you can show me the quote for this design was significantly more than a traditional route, you're basing your condemnation on a hunch. I wouldn't place money on it being cheaper, but significantly more?
"CARBON FIBER BRAH, SICK BRAH, TRACK DAY BRAH"
I believe I more clearly see his point in his followup replies. That was not conveyed to me in his initial post.
This is the same Danica that wants to be taken seriously as an athlete and not just as a sex object, right????
My knickers are not twisted, just a little wrinkled by your initial condescending reply :)
You didn't read the entire part on the digital gauges did you?
Why will digital gauges be dated? For most of these I see the alternative or where tech is going, but a gauge is a highly informative instrument that not only conveys a current value, but also a rate of change. Having them on a digital screen means that the screen can be flexible, and provide only the input the driver…
"the ability to literally just start typing the name of a contact, or even the name of place nearby, is LESS intuitive?"
I'm no engine break in expert, or car expert for that matter, but I do have two anecdotal points. 1) I just replaced the cam and rockers in my '89 BMW, and there was a suggested break in procedure for those components. 2) my friends 2011 Mustang GT had a 1000 mile break in period where he wasn't supposed to go near…
What you start to notice is that cars drive in a very narrow area compared to the width of the roadway, revealing untouched mounds of snow around the corners of the streets and intersections. The snow temporarily shows where neckdowns might be possible, by illustrating the space that's rarely used by cars.
Patrick, you're a good guy, but the problem people have is with the "oooo click me!" headline, intentional or not. It might be accurate but it does so in an inflammatory way, without actually being accurate. Instead of "A Man" you could have put "Former CEO". Also, her being "most powerful women" has nothing to do…
If there is seriously a gender issue here, fine. But this wouldn't be the first time a new CEO with less responsibility than the outgoing CEO made less than the outgoing CEO did. None of those males got to complain, and this women is apparently not complaining either. So why is anyone making a stink about it? Tim Cook…
He could use some real snow tires... I would have expected a 4 wheel drive car to do better. Here is a 1991 325ix pulling my fatass E46 up a slight incline in deeper snow. The ix has studded tires on though, and proceeded to pull me another 2.2 miles up several much steeper hills.
