This is a wonderful idea. Where do I sign my girlfriend up at? I'm contemplating marriage, and I think signing her up for this ten car program will go a long ways towards making a final decision.

Did the driver pass out before the wreck? He obviously takes his foot of the gas, but he doesn't apply the brake at any point before impact. I'm basing that on the the lack of deceleration and that the car doesn't pitch forward at all. It just sort of coasts the last 30 feet right into the wall...
I'm thinking that throttle lift over-stear not apply to a car whose back wheels are already spinning. Throttle lift applies more to a car in a corner where it is on the limit of grip, but where all tires still have their maximum grip. Once the back wheels are loose, like in a powered over-steer, the weight has already…
What's wrong with twitchy? He may not be "weaving" with those twitches, but counter steering to regain grip. Watch how twitchy an F1 driver is behind the wheel :)
As an E30 325i and E46 328i owner, I concur. I sometimes explain to people what the BMW naming system means with my car as the context, then basically have to say that it doesn't apply for the last 10-15 years.
I sort of thought that at first, but I think the poll comes through the window a bit closer to the seat before sliding sideways. Check out how destroyed his seat was, and the metal bars directly behind his seat.
Without a date in the article, I made the mistake of assuming it was a modern car. Thanks for pointing that out :-)
I want to agree with what you're saying, but you're argument seems flawed. Whether enforcing a crime is a profitable venture should not be a deciding factor in whether it is enforced. If someone has done something wrong, they should be punished. A fine's primary purpose is not to reimburse the state, but to punish the…
Yeah, not blazing... Isn't 390hp from a naturally aspirated 5.5 liter engine sort of low in the year 2013? That's only 71hp per liter. I'm not much of an engine guy, but I know my roomates 5.0 makes 412hp (82hp/L) and the E46 M3 pulled 104 hp per liter.
To add to what Doug said, how is caring more about a $20,000+ purchase and its details different than buying a pair of shoes or a PS3? Are you serious? Exactly where do you buy your sneakers and consoles such that that's a valid comparison?!
@Zhesty, Bingo.
Is people using cars like an appliance a new thing? I thought this had been going on for the last hundred years. The only thing this survey seems to show is that public transportation (or shared transport) is good enough in larger cities these days that its not a required utility for them. And to that I say awesome!…
Right. And the Swastika is just a symbol from Indian that means "To Be Good". Sure. The problem with symbols is that they represent words/ideas/thoughts/zeitgeist, and are meant to do so without requiring an explanation. If you have to re-teach everyone around you what the symbol means, it isn't serving as a good…
