Luke was still the last hope for the jedi. Of those that survived the purge, most of those that remained on the Jedi path died by the end of the OT. The remaining survivors like Ahsoka, Grogu, Cal, and this new character Baylon all turned their backs on continuing/reestablishing the Order. Yes, some of their

Or we could read the reddit post that the Apollo dev posted where they got some questions answered by Reddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/apolloapp/comments/12ram0f/had_a_few_calls_with_reddit_today_about_the

As noted, the price is not to make money, but instead to cover costs:

Let’s be real, most people probably don’t care all that much beyond the first day or two. If they did, then things like this would eventually affect the bottom line.

It’s likely similar to what a ton of other services are doing to combat things like OpenAI building massive data sets off their data. Lots of companies have been upping their API costs since ChatGPT and GPT 4.0 came out to combat OpenAI, Microsoft, Google, etc using their data to take users from their sites.

I mean, I don’t agree with the practice, but a vast majority of advancements throughout history wouldn’t have happened or been as ubiquitous if the modern copyright and patent system existed.

Except of all the “big name” board gaming publishers on Crowdfunding, Mythic is the only one I’ve known of to do this regularly (and multiple times)

Have you tried Halo recently on SteamOS on the deck? From my understanding they recently patched the MCC and added EAC support for multiplayer. Not sure when the last Proton or Halo: Infinite update for the deck was

That’s exactly what they should be doing. Download only what’s needed and download more if the user enables the extra textures OR create separate Steam/Origin/EGS library entries for each (2K, 4K, 8K) and for God’s sake Valve/EA/Epic - create a way to programatically allow your clients to not require devs to re-upload

One - memory is relatively cheap, but that’s different from storage (I made the same mistake when I was first getting into PCs), but storage is also relatively cheap. That said, needing nearly 1/3 of a TB of storage is still not realistic or cheap for the average PC gamer (or console gamer).  I mean, this game simply

I’m not going to switch back to console, I like being able to buy my games one time and play them even after I upgrade to new hardware without buying them again. I already have to have a powerful PC to do my work and open source contributions. And there are a lot of games that I enjoy that simply aren’t on consoles at

Like Steam for Linux before it, Steam Deck/SteamOS as a handheld experience is driving Microsoft to create a Controller-based experience for things like the Ally. The bigger issue I see long term is that the Steam Deck provides a way to play older games through Steam Input and the TrackPads. The “competing” devices

I don’t think you’re an idiot at all. It’s what you are used to. For some games, though, there is simply no way to provide the experience they want to provide with just standard controller support, though. Even PC-only games I play that add controller support, it’s generally still in addition to either a KB/M for

Not entirely true. SteamOS does have driver optimizations for the Steam Deck hardware that weren’t included in the Windows drivers. It’s the whole reason that Valve was like “We’ll give you drivers, but they come AS-IS”.

While this is true, one of the huge things that Steam Deck has for me over other handheld PCs is the fact that I have touchpads. Those have been such a lifesaver for so many games that either:

1. Don’t have controller support at all.
2. Don’t work well without a mouse at least.
3. or there are so many menus that using

Torrents aren't just used for pirating. Many tech communities use it as an alternate firm to distribute their own software and for a long time Blizzard used the tech to update their games. It's only piracy if the distributor doesn't own the rights to the software being distributed

I’m not sure that it makes sense to put games like Natural Selection 2 on the list. Just because a game is no longer getting content updates doesn’t mean the game is dead or unsupported. Just that no new features are coming in......

So basically it’s like how every game used to be before games as a service took off.

Totally see where he’s coming from, especially from the standpoint of how the term seems to put the genre in a box. Several YouTubers online that focus primarily on JRPGs have tended to complain about JRPGs that are more Action RPG or “Western” or “MMO” feeling and that they “aren’t JRPGs”. Drives me insane.

To me,

Not to mention that the 5% “doing a shitty job” are not likely spread across every single development team.

DirectStorage is going to be tricky for a while due to a mix of hardware requirements on SSD speed, which has implications for existing users’ motherboard AND SSDs.

And the tutorials. I don’t think the GFX or tutorials are included in the free version
