Ah. I tend to read the source articles when a site like Lifehacker has a short summary like this. They tend to miss some points, big and small.

Well, next time read the entire post. As you eventually noticed, at the bottom they mentioned how the passwords were hashed. I guess the click-bait headings work in positive ways too.
It doesn't cause confusion in this case. The only thing that Q/A was supposed to do is easy the minds of the people who might have had their data stolen. All most of them will understand is that their passwords were stored in such a way that the attackers can't see them. Anything more than that is going to confuse the…
I use loads of bandwidth as it is right now. If their threats are real, I'm sure I'm a person of interest. It's all legitimate, but that doesn't matter.
Hashing is a subset of cryptography. I think it's fine to say encrypted and understand that it's not something that can be undone. For the general public, encrypted means they're safe and that's all they want to hear.
In addition to what ksurl said, Kickstarter also reset facebook tokens, just in case.
Maybe you came second but that was still high enough to win the season. I guess then you'd be pretty happy.
I guess we'll never know because she isn't a guy. But none of that changes the fact that she isn't very good.
It fucking seems like it doesn't it?
Nope. It's less-than-minimum. You can't make less than min at the end of the pay period though.
Yeah. I don't even want to fuck with it. Even if I'm completely in the right, which I should be, it would be such a mess to deal with. I'll just download shit the slow way and deal with it.
Torrenting as in piracy. You know what I meant. I don't even risk downloading linux distros or FOSS via torrents, even though it's faster, because I'm sure the tech guys would bitch.
What?
Again, I'm not a waiter.
This app is a gimmick, clearly. There's no way to rationalize recording someone using your phone because you don't trust them as somehow being preferable to not letting them have your phone's password.
Nice gay joke you slid in there though. Discrete and douchey.
So, you trust your girlfriend enough to let her unlock your phone, but not enough to not record what apps she uses? Ok.
It could easily handle it.
I don't. Hence why I don't have a password on my phone. Where are you getting this shit from?
It's just to unlock Windows 8, it doesn't give you admin rights.
No, because my phone doesn't have a password. If I did, I'd tell her because I don't care if she goes through my phone. I don't have to snoop through my girlfriend's phone to trust her. I'm sorry you're so insecure.
