For what it worth, all of that made an AppleTV less appealing to me. If we're going to mention everything, might as well through the Raspberry Pi in with the Roku and ATV.

What are you.
I was thinking the same thing. Newegg already supports shoprunner. I suppose Newegg Premier is a littler cheaper.
Yeah I live on campus, but if I didn't I still wouldn't carry all of this with me all day.
Uh....yeah, that socket is 10 years old. Since then, AMD has launched at least sockets AM2, AM2+, AM3, and AM3+. That socket doesn't even support DDR2 RAM. I don't think you can even buy DDR RAM anymore.
My personal experience with Asus's RMA is awful. First, I want to say that their products are fantastic. I have an Asus "Dark Knight" router, my laptop is Asus, my mobo is Asus, and I've used Asus in builds for other people as well. Besides my 'z' key not wanting to work all the time on my laptop and my bad mobo,…
I haven't used the recent AMD CPUs either, but what I've read from trusted sources is that the real world performance has AMD behind. The benchmarks tend to vary, as some synthetic benchmarks can really make use of the Bulldozer architecture, but it's not catching on for most applications. It's not surprising either…
CS major here. My backpack has my laptop, some pencils, and two notebooks. That's it. Why the fuck do you need all that shit? Ok, you have a lab that requires the goggles, I get that one. Why do you need to stop in the middle of your day and write and mail a thank you card?
It'll take awhile to wear through an extension cord like this but if it does, cut those six inches off and wire a new plug.
I'll let you in on a secret...PC gamers don't care. They really, really, couldn't give less of a shit about you switching to PC or staying on consoles.
No, that's not the cheapest you could build a PC and no it's not inferior to the newest consoles. Please, go troll somewhere else.
Asus is worse...
It's cheap for what you're getting. $800 for that gaming rig is a deal.
If a 790 comes out, I expect it to be two 780s so you have to deal with the downfalls of SLI. I can't recommend anything over a 780Ti right now.
A year and a half ago I built my current PC. 2x4GB DDR3 1600 for $47.
CPU upgrades aren't usually worth it. If you have an old CPU, it's probably an older socket and you can't upgrade far. The best thing to upgrade (if you're gaming) is the GPU. The best everyday usage upgrade, by far, is a SSD.
It's not a deal breaker. If you're streaming between a lot of devices, AC *might* help, but N will handle anything you need for the foreseeable future. Your internet is going to be the bottleneck for way longer than this router will even last you.
It's actually moving more in favor of Intel if you go to Bulldozer/Piledriver. AMD needs to step up, sadly.
Let me start by saying I do have a 3DS. It's the only handheld I own, and the first since the GB Advance SP. So, I don't really care about it being more like product X or concept Y. Now, I know I'm going to catch shit for this but I don't think the second screen touchscreen is even a good idea. I'd rather have one,…
No. You have to put an SD card in it.
