I can only speak for Virgin America, but their level of amenities, customer service and customer attention is light-years beyond anything I have experienced on the other domestic US carriers, and I have flown them all.

I'm old enough to have seen BTTF when it originally came out in theaters (I was 20). I originally went to see it *because* it starred MJF. I ended up seeing it four times during its theatrical run because of how awesome the movie is.

The Interstate 15 High Occupancy Vehicles/Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) - San Diego project took place over several years back in the late '90s-early '00s. It used a wire embedded in the HOV lanes to send the signal to modified vehicles. Unfortunately funding ran out, and the project was abandoned.
