Any ideas why the researchers and the public are so obsessed with Titanic? There are a LOT of sunken ships around the world. Why does this one garner such interest? Was it because it was nicknamed "unsinkable"?

My mom saved a lot of my cool stuff from my childhood. I have my Theater-in-the-Round Disney Viewmaster projector, an older than me bakelight lighted Viewmaster, one of the plastic gray/tan Viewmasters from the early 70s, and two shoeboxes full of reels.
