@soujisama: @RockySterling: My son is three. When he's ready for college, my iPhone 4 will most likely be at the bottom of a landfill (I know, recycle). My TagHeuer will most likely be an heirloom piece he'll wear at college.

@Damage: Yeah, but the tape media the sound is recorded on is getting really crinkly and old.

@Blue Lantern of Earth: You know the re-imagined BSG Vipers fire *bullets* right? Do you think bullets would be any real issue for a starship with deflector shields? And even if the Pegasus rammed the Enterprise-D, as long as the shield were up, it would smash into the shields and glance off.

@gerrylum: And why does God need a starship?

@Zanzan42: Excellent. See you there at 7!

@Feny: You know, Phil's brother...

This level of cyber stalking is kind of giving me the creeps.

@rivalius13: @chorx: Yes, Since 2005, with the introduction of the Mighty Mouse. That's 21 years after the introduction of the Mac in 1984. So at that rate, Sony will put dual analog sticks on its handheld devices in 2025.

@MifuneT: Maybe the late 80s, after the K-Car, the Caravan, and Chrysler paid the bailout money back.

@rivalius13: Yes, since the introduction of the mighty mouse.

@chasmdance: I always loved how the US, as arguably the most technologically advanced nation, could have recounts and runoffs going on for weeks after elections, and that Iraq under Saddam Hussein had people stuffing crumpled pieces of paper into cardboard boxes and Hussein announcing 100% election results by the end

@MrGrinch: Sony is as stubborn about dual analog sticks on their handhelds as Apple has been about two buttons on their mice. Neither company seems to be listening to what the consumers want on those two fronts.

@qbrad: Yeah, I'm a lifetime left coast guy. My goal is for Giz to actually give enough advance notice for an event back east that I have the time to schedule a trip to attend.

17 signed up for the San Diego #GizDay at dave & Buster's in Mission Valley. Hopefully most will show up. I've got stickers and name tags.

@Valrose: I was lucky, my mom had kept some select items from my childhood, including the above mentioned kit, and what is arguably my very first gadget, a Radio Shack FlavorRadio (Blueberry) AM transistor radio that I received as a birthday present when I was six or seven.

@Valrose: Going thru my parents garage I found the RS 30-in-1 electronics kit that I received as my junior high graduation present in 1979. Can't wait to play with it with my 3-year old when he's old enough.

Maybe it's an age issue. In my mid 40s, even with glasses and the high resolution screen of the iPhone 4, it's simply easier on my eyes to browse the web using my iPad.

@Fauxcused: Same here. I haven't fired up my personal laptop in several weeks. For me, my iPad is handling most of my casual PC tasks.
