I was finally allowed to place my 'upgrade' order on Apple's website. Received a confirmation page and number - no email yet, not that surprising since Apple probably has quite a backlog of emails to send out today.

@Bruce_Wayne: It requires a signature, however, once you get your shipping notification from Apple, you have the option of "pre-signing" for the delivery, where you print out a FedEx form, fill it out and tape it to your door.
