Everyone has a right to an opinion, but this does not change your employment status for those who are full time.

There are a lot of new varieties that have come along in the last few years, so mostly it depends on what you’re looking for. There is a purple/yellow named Huckleberry Gold that is quite good. There are a number of good yellows that are really good that have come along lately, Soraya is one that comes to mind that is

As a potato farmer (seed potatoes specifically) I would just like to add a few things:

Nuclear is one of the safest energy sources we have. It’s caused less deaths per kWhr that pretty much any other source of energy we have. It is actually 1,000,000 times safer in the US than coal, (1,100 times safer world wide)

I work with a lot of people in need monthly to make sure their bills are covered and their needs are met. The group I work with has distributed over $20k in food cards this year alone in our community, that is on top of electricity bills and heating oil that we have bought for households thanks to generous donations

How is nuclear power unclean? It’s the cleanest mass-deployed source of power in the world.

Okay so this is what bugged me a little in the video, on more than one occasion he mentions coasting downhill. This is the exact opposite of what you need to do. Getting good fuel economy is all about minimising your average throttle opening for the duration of the journey. By coasting downhill that then means you

A very cool video. The subject is interesting and the man clearly put some work into it, and has skills to proove it. That’s all great.

Maybe you should get a real job that’ll give you leisure time so that you are not always stressed and blaming your failures on other people.

So people who can’t afford or choose not to own cars don’t have real jobs? Or are you just more important then them? Have you ever gotten a lecture that your car is polluting from a cyclist?

Funny, I have two kids, a regular job, and I ride a bike every day. I ride a bike for numerous reasons, it is my exercise for the day, no need to hit the gym after kids are in bed, and it is a lot cheaper than owning a second car. Doesn’t hurt that I enjoy being outside and breathing fresh air.

My mom raised 3 of us while working full time (at a “real” job in a fancy high rise office all the way downtown!) and did all the cooking and housework, and she biked to work every day. Even got hit by a bus, and stuck to her cycling commute. You can fuck right off with your “cyclists don’t understand real

I have a real job, I don’t have kids, but I do my grocery shopping like everyone else. I do it all on my bike (in addition to public transport and the occasional rental). My parents grew up in a major city, raising their kid, using their bikes, all without a car. Please don’t act like it’s impossible to be an adult

oh yeah, i bike to my FAKE job every day, and bike home to my FAKE family every evening. i don’t eat groceries because i’m too busy riding my bike. i have no errands except for shining my bike frame every morning like pee wee fucking herman. get over yourself. wow.

To be fair though, alot of people (like myself) bike because it’s also economical. I have a job, but I’m a student, and I can’t afford a car, and public transportation is still a hundred bucks a month that I could spend on food.

Obviously situations matter... in alot of the U.S./outside European cities you need a car,

That is very arrogant. Is that what you tell those in Angola who are starving because of car filed drought?

No cyclists give a shit that you’re driving your car.
