As an owner of a 03 Protege5 you are very right. It makes working on it a nightmare.
I'm going to disagree with you here, although it's interesting to see my exact speed, reading a dial is quicker. I can figure out the approximate position of a line before I can read and understand an number. Usually I just look at my tach., and I know my approximate speed because I know what gear I'm in.
I NEED this, not only could I ignore speed-bumps and small children, but I could jump all those damn spike-strips constantly in my way!
0.2 seconds slower according to the score sheet....
That's how I pronounced it until the commercial came out... Could also be they were tired of people butchering their name so they "Americanized" the pronunciation.
