1: Was the jeep totally stuck? Meh, I could have probably rocked it a few times and gotten out...
so....... a few things need to be set straight....... i'm the guy in the teggy and my buddy dan is in the jeep.
I really understand and respect most of what you state, dude.
Show me that test in the mountain west, at 6k-10k foot elevations, with and without a trailer.
Diesel is America's Metric fuel. The people who hate it just don't get it, and have to tell everyone else why they should hate it.
Dear Ford,
For the sea of comments lamenting the size of modern trucks or the need for diesel, please remember that some of us have to haul heavy shit around and large, heavy, with torque is the recipe. 10 times a year I have to haul a 20 foot trailer with 5-7 roadracing motorcycles, generators, gear, tire warmers, food, etc. …
Absolutely. The Pentastar engine is for those who would buy a Ram to look cool or lug home shit from Home Depot twice a year, while the EcoDiesel is for those who are going to use the truck as a truck (or have too much money to burn).
My hope is that Chevy sees this success and makes a small turbo-diesel Colorado.
They're really not dramatically bigger than full-size trucks of 15 years ago, it's more of an optical illusion created by greater ridge height and faux big rig styling. Length and width hasn't really changed much, if you compare equivalent bed and cab sizes.
1) Put in Wrangler.
2) Add manual transmission.
3) ...
4) Profit.
You're in luck! It's a Ram now!

This thing gets better gas mileage than my Z. Real world mileage too, not that EPA BS. I'm floored. Makes EcoBoost and DoD look downright silly.
I'm been screaming for this for a long long time. They could have done this a long time ago with a Cummins 4BT or something similar.
