Then you should also have the presence of mind not to turn on the wipers while they are still frozen to the windshield. Like I said, there is no discernable advantage either way. If my windshield is frozen, I have to scrape it clean or let it warm up until it’s clean. I will make sure the wipers are free at that time.

Tesla has not figured out how to do it inexpensively though. And neither has Chevy. Chevy wants to get an EV into as many driveways as possible. Having AWD with a much shorter range won’t do it. Besides, AWD is very overrated and is more of a bandwagon thing then a real thing. The average everyday vehicle does not

Range is a better selling point than AWD.

I don’t see any disadvantage of putting them up but I also don’t see any advantage. I choose not to put them just because of the odd chance of them being damaged by wind or something.

One time, while on a blog, they trapped me in a slide show. Screw that shit! I told them never again!

I really don’t see any real issue either way. If you flip them up and they come on unexpectedly, you can damage the windshield not just the blade. That’ll be a real bad day.

It’s all in the quality of the crimps. First, just a bare metal butt splice. Then an environmental heat-shrink to cover it. Ain’t cheap for the tools but worth it. It’s all I used on military helicopters for 22 years.

Have you watched this guy’s videos? He wears gloves to keep from contaminating the car. He takes detailing very seriously.

That’s easy, patience. I exhibit the utmost patience with other drivers. Except the ones who are very impatient. I’ll cut them off on purpose.

The military has a huge fleet of non-tactical vehicles that this will apply to. Probably a bigger fleet than their tactical fleet.

The shift lever sticks up into the space vertically where the buttons do not, space saved.

“No low bals, I now what I got.”

I agree with others. It’s really no different than playing the lottery. No rhyme or reason, just 1 in 249 million odds of winning. Just buy lottery tickets.

Crack the vent windows” or “pump the brakes” or “choke it, it’s cold”

You make them sound so old. I still run Centerline mags on my CJ and have 4 spares.

Maybe. My house, recently appraised, isn’t worth enough to offset the interest and money I have put into it over the last 16 years. Not a crazy up down market here, just very constant. And think of how much people pay for more house than they really need

Head up display in every official manual I have read, but always called a heads up display or just HUD. - 2o years in avionics

That’s a bit sexist isn’t it? Since when can’t a small woman drive a big truck?

What if the anti-locks fail, or power steering? Shit happens. This doesn’t take away anyone’s need to pay attention and regardless of the equipment, they are still responsible.

And you still don’t get what I am saying and said originally. The video is 100% true. I have used snow tires my whole life and believe they are the best thing to drive on the road with in winter. But not for off-road!! It’s a different game when it is deep snow and no road.
