Reflective belt! Now that’s funny!!
I thought my Hueys were old! B52s gotta be crazy to keep flying. They still have wood in them? The UH-1N actually still had pieces of wood in them.
lol....oh yeah, I remeber those days. Thank god it was VFR weather!
lol...must be nice to have all those spare parts in the supply system. USMC rules come from Naval Aviation, which when you are on the boat, hard to stock everything you need.
Your talking ground equipment. Canabilization is really not allowed in motor-t in the Corps either. Aircraft are different, too many parts that can keep it from flying. I was shocked when I got to the air side and it was a normal, daily event. When a bird is turning in the chocks and about to launch, if the radio…
He does not know how close to the truth he is. We often picked one aircraft to down for as long as they would let us and made it a “parts bin”. Aircraft 12 has a bad radio? Grab it out of the hangar queen. 22 needs a driveshaft? Go to the hangar queen. Sometimes that poor aircraft went through three or four radios…
lol...that’s hilarious. The Corps is the best thing the DOD has going for it. You literally get the most bang for your buck with the Marines. They get such a tiny part of the whole budget yet make every dollar go farther.
Surprised by the real high cargo capacity with such a low tow rating. Strange. Why Mr. Engineer?
6 speed? Considering my Jeep is a 4 speed, that 6 speed would freak me out!
Very well said and very true.
Just crush it....next.
The Space Shuttle....
There are quite a few. Just a quick look at google will display them. In summary, it takes more energy/resources to manufacture an EV, but it uses so much less in its lifetime it quickly surpasses ICE vehicles. The “break-even” is much sooner when you are in areas that generate electricity with renewable resources as…
Which is more the fault of the military for demanding that.
True, but technically, any contact could kill someone so it would make for a very short racing season. Hell, imagine how short a NASCAR season would be.
They still have more moving parts and intercoolers, etc. But hey, just an opinion.
Your comparing a 2019 to a 2018, not really fair considering how much else has changed.
Compared to a Prius or something, yep, I agree. But this is too simple: one attachment on the front of the engine and a battery pack. And the modern turbos are crazy complicated.
Where is the $4k upcharge? I only see $1450.00
No not really. Less moving parts means less chance of failure.
