Someone asked for Captain Cold gif party, so let’s give them one!

Sam traveled back farther than 1957, when he leaped into his Union soldier ancestor, Captain John Beckett in the middle of a battle in 1862. The Leap Between the States, near the end of the fifth season of the series.

And Sam was all happy and excited about being black. I remember that was the moment I knew I loved the show because it took something that could have been potentially problematic and actually did it justice. Yeah, Sam fit the White Male Savior trope, but it was the 80s.

I wish we could have gotten more episodes with the evil leapers.

The classiest Quantum Leap episode!

My favorite QL scenes, in no particular order:
* From “Shock Therapy” when he is playing the boxer and says, ‘So, I’m a good guy.’ Al, his voice cracking: “Yeah, you’re a good guy.”

* The moment Sam realizes Al was one of the POWs. All-time chill scene.

* “Fate’s Wide Wheel” is actually a pretty good song. I had the

This show was a little before me but I loved watching it on reruns on G4TV. Probably one of my favorite shows growing up simply because it was campy and ridiculous but who cares it was fun.

Did they ever release a DVD set of the series that includes ALL the episodes?

My memory might be fuzzy, but man that JFK ep was leaning toward scary for me when I watched it. Sam pretty much went full shooter up until the point where he leaped into the Secret Service Agent was tough to take for me.

Just recently started rewatching QL because my roommate had never even heard of it. I was blown away by how rapey Al is.

This is one show that I would really look forward to a reboot

What, no mention of the time he leapt into Ivan Koloff (or, at least, the closest possible fascimile of him)?

Now playing

I’m honestly surprised there was no mention here of the most famous Quantum Leap episode of them all:

What about the one he was a special needs man who tells his nephew (I think) the story of Star Wars years before its released?

Now I want to binge watch this show again.

That poor Scott Bakula monkey.
