Ubisoft has kind of devolved into making the same game over and over again. After last year’s Odyssey, I think I’m just done with Ubisoft open world games, until they really, genuinely innovate and change the formula. I just don’t think I have it in mean to clear yet another overly large map of icons all over again.

“Business Transformation” is a hot seller right now in big corporate. GameStop is one of dozens of big brands using that exact jargon to try and diffuse from the layoffs. Wallgreens just put out PR last week with similar wording.

RPGs I can think of that approached colonialism in a thoughtful way:

Does it seem like this could be the title that finally makes Spiders crack the big time? In the past their titles have seemed to be super interesting concepts and settings paired with awful combat and generally rather hammy stories. This looks kind of awesome, though.

Makoto’s the only bedtime dictator we need.

I fully support the message about harassment ... the microtransaction apologism, not so much. After 10 years of increasingly predatory monetization the “you don’t understand the videogame industry”and “it’s just cosmetics” excuses are hollow.

It’s too much bordering on parody. I can totally see why it was cut. The only way it could be moreso is if Pepper held his body in the “pieta” pose.

Aabsolutely seething at this review. I always read kotaku reviews because they avoid spoilers or post spoiler warnings. At the start of the review you wrote, “By the time the game is finished...”

Needless high heels; needless make-up; slim, hourglass figure despite how she should be a power lifter of a woman; “cutesy” hairstyle; angles/poses that are just a few degrees off from a pin-up; all topped off with a size -10 waist.

Just gonna go ahead and put this out there, since I’m seeing far too much of this “why can’t you just tolerate the intolerance of some players” shit in the comments.

There are two basic truths to be gleaned from both this situation, and some of the responses it is engendering:

1.) Intolerance of intolerance is not the

Some fantastic stuff as always... but those pillar men from JoJo tho... holy crap.

Because he’s positioning himself as altruistic. You can call it cynical and shit, but when a CEO tells you “I’m doing this thing because it’s going to make things better for everyone”, you start looking for the razor in the candy floss.

God, can we all stop fucking pretending that this is even remotely about the “70/30 status quo”? It’s about on-boarding new customers by making it literally impossible to find games they want on any storefront other than Epic’s. That’s all there is to it. This stuff about Epic having high-minded motives about giving

Shows just how much they care.

The amount of care and respect they’ve shown here for literally their best customers brings a tear to my eyes.

In my experience, it’d be better for an ip to be left untouched than butchered.

That is definitely one of my all-time favorite games. Maybe if this goes well they’ll do that as well.

I’m still mad that Nocturne never got a sequel.  That cliffhanger was painful!

NPCs, battle royale.. what’s next? single-player?

Sounds like we got a salty Xbone Fanboy who has no clue what the contract entails lol.
