Congrats to them for making it so far for so long.

Holy shit, did you really just reply to a 5 year old comment just to argue about VO’s work versus dubbing?

Eh, I mean it looks alright.

I dunno, I was more excited back when they were trying to get weird with Spiderman games like Shattered Dimensions.

I’m a little bit surprised there’s no photos from the actual inside of the con or other organized cosplay shoots in other parts of the center.

Being a 90s kid Curse of Monkey Island is what got me into Lucas Arts adventure games.

Fatshark’s take on the Warhammerfantasy world captures that grim and gritty dark rennisance feel so well, that it always saddens me that GW has effectively killed off the old world in favor of the high mythology age of Sigmar.

These were pretty fun maps despite Passchendale clearly using assets from the prologue, I just wish they had time to make a proper operation to contextualize them.

You’d have no idea that the Somme was the first use of the tank and one of the bloodiest battles of the war. Instead of it has some nice fields and an

After some play time with it, I’ve come to the conclusion that the game reminds me a lot of Witcher 1 in terms of ambition and jankiness, with doses of Eldar scrolls, and Thief.

The combat reminds me a lot of Dragon’s Lair where it’s more like trying to figure out what combo of buttons to press to watch the animation

I suppose we really will just have to agree to disagree on it. Since I’ve been more of an rpg gamer first and then a wargamer second. I saw a clear transition of style and growth from the Old World that started off as a sort of 80's gritty punk take on low fantasy and it started growing into high fantasy as time went

We can agree to disagree sure, I just find your lack of specifics of the actual setting other than “Generic” and “Tolkein rip off” to be rather weak as an argument.

Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay especially first edition was incredibly influential on the rpg genre at the time and the Enemy Within Campaign is recognized as being one of the most well written pre-made adventure lines. Especially due to its gritty feel of a Call of Cthulhu adventure wrapped inside of the Renaissance.

Maybe for you but there’s a reason why Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay survives and new editions keep popping up every few years in the old world.

Are those flying steampunk Dwarfs in a flying ship fighting a Greater Demon of Khorne?

*Cries softly at the lost Old World*

In all seriousness though, do you have a link to Chris Avellone regretting the writing he did in Kotor 2?

I always liked the rather dark and subversive edge he brought to the Star Wars table. I personally really like his (Kreia) take that the force is something of a giant parasite forcing endless cycles.

In any case, he

My it’s an aesthetic thing but all sorts of weird warning lights flick on in my brain when I see an xbox controller layout fused with PS4 features for the PS4.
It disturbs me and doesn’t seem like it should exist.

I have to admit I’m quite entertained by all of the grey burner accounting announcing their departure from Kotaku.

Man I’m really hoping Anthem is good because I can’t help but feel this is going to be the death blow to Bioware.
The cracks were already showing and they need something of a home run.
But I don’t think Anthem is going to be it and they really seem to putting all their eggs in this basket.

Hope I’m wrong and this turns

Hence whenever I have to play a more traditional rpg, I stay the heck away from D&D and go straight for Warhammer Fantasy.
