It’s funny, I really want to like Battlefront 2. However the combat just feels incredibly floaty and arbitrary. Despite being improved upon Battlefront 1, I still got bored of the beta about 2 hours in.

Here’s hoping the single player campaign is something amazing.

So continues the odd tradition of great games and new entries (they’re bringing back warhammer fantasy roleplay!), into what is effectively a dead world lore wise.

Although I’m sure RDR2 is going to be great. Part of me is going to miss the sunset of the west timeline of RDR1.
There was something really appealing about 6 shooter dueling with an imported WW1 fully automatic Mauser c98 pistol.

He absolutely nailed the atmosphere from the movie down pat. It actually does feel like we’re watching the old LA from the movie being torn down by the end to make way for whatever arises for the new movie.

Now playing

I’ve been going through this online Youtube series called The Great War, to get some more context on some of the operations we’ve been seeing in Battlefield 1. Admittedly I don’t really know much about WW1's Eastern Front outside of Tannenberg. So getting some real context for the new op puts it in interesting

I adore R6 Siege, but the fiasco the of the map dropping/rotation (I don’t think ubi ever really clarified which it was, I think it’s still leaning towards some maps are just being completely removed). Alongside still general brokeness and balance issues with the new operators.

So how’s the tone of D2 compared to D1? I never played any of D1's expansion packs, so while I didn’t think but of D1's in-game narrative. I did like how it has a sort of serious mythical tone built into it.

This reminds me of some of the terminology for war board games. Ameritrash vs Eurogames.

Trying to play Battlefield 1 DLC, because I have a friend who absolutely loves the historical context of the Russian civil war.

We’re finding it’s a huge pain in the ass to play our favorite game mode, operations.

Honestly people were just caught up in the hype. Outside of the prologue most of the single player isn’t very good. Ranging from average to weakly tone death.
Particularly that Italian level where you basically become a space marine, and they don’t even bother to try and frame an unreliable narrator like the american

Well damn I’m sold on that. Even if the new movie is garbage (who knows at this point though). At least we get this out of it as well. Even if it turns into Space Dandy 2.0 with replicants.

I remember being exposed to homestuck via osmosis, since I’m fairly into the cosplay scene and homestuck was a pretty big chunk of the amateur cosplay scene for a while.

Welp I think your article has helped me inadvertently discover where those meme came from

I adore home of the Underdogs. I forever remain in its debt for introducing me to Star Control 2, after randomly browsing their catalog.

I hope we don’t see a follow up in half a year talking about men pushing out women operators when the 2 Males 1 Female come out for the S. Korea dlc.

I see that you too have good taste in the fine arts. Wink wink nudge nudge.

That’s super neat, I wonder if they’ll ever update the game of thrones one though to reflect the even newer meta going on.

One thing i adore about the game isn’t how your posters slowly populate the game world. So your early ones are a harsh reminder of all the dead customized soldiers you’ve likely lost later in the game.

Does this mean I’m still hanging around the greys in io9 even though I’m fully approved in Kotaku because the comment system got borked a few years back for me?

While this week’s Oglaf is super nsfw. Last week’s was a good clean one.
