I do notice that in a lot of older story based RPG’s (Planescape Torment comes to mind). There generally seems to be more options in responding to the main quest and there’s usually the option of, “I don’t know if I’m the chosen one, I’m just playing it by ear”.

I found that mods are really the way to go for skyrim. You can get the game to look pretty damn good and in a playable state with the right mods.

So the vibe I’m getting from this review is that you might be better off buying a discounted copy of cosmic encounters and picking up a more throughly themed game of thrones game like their dipolomacy styled board game + expansion.
