Yeah I definitely agree with the Witcher characters carry the world more than the world itself (despite having played all 3 games to the end).
That brings back memories. You never realize how much the dungeon crawler has slowly advanced since the Diablo days until you go back and replay it.

I remember despite liking certain areas of Dark Souls 2 more (Marjula is way more atmospheric and uplifting than DS1’s fat laughing guy next the the church imo). The fact that the game balance seemed to be changed for no reason at all threw it off for me.

I’m really hoping that this stuff is actually reflective of their current build and isn’t just dolled up to generate buzz only to have the end product be no where close or changed to a subpar state.
I highly recommend Persona 3 afterwards.
