I don’t think Monster Hunter is really my style - I prefer adventure games, and that series seems more about killing the beasts and not too much interaction besides that ^_^. I might give it a try one day, but I could never get in to the YouTube Let’s Plays, which is a bad sign.

I look forward to the day game designers stop relying on levels. But that's neither here nor there.

I have no problems with their creative direction, TBH. I’m happy as long as women in this story aren’t relegated to damsels in distress or fanservice. They know better than us what fits the story. I’m more concerned that the party members get actual character development and personalities that go beyond anime tropes -

Thank you all for taking the time to be take questions! I'm an avid RPG gamer, and love the Dragon Age series.

Three of them are teenagers. But looks interesting, though I doubt it will last.

I totally agree. I was lucky enough to grow up in Chinatown NYC, so I had access to both from an early age. The filler in the anime was definitely distracting, but the pacing in the manga was perfectly calibrated to keep suspense up. And the quality of the art was generally superior in the manga due to not needing to

They need to stop making new systems. Perhaps the cost of producing the NX system is projected to be so low that they will reap profits from people who want to be first adapters.

I never got to play Demon's Souls for any meaningful length of time. I went with X-Box 360 and PC, not the PS3.

I generally play magic using characters in any game I play, but I do think that From messed up when designing the magic system. I think they should have concentrated on making the magic system more heavily skill based. And at times, it seems to me that they should have just made magic more interactive with the

This looks very promising. I tend to prefer games that reward skill, and the relative weight that seems to be given to the decisions she needs to make due to her fragility makes player skill very important. How many hits can she generally take before being incapacitated? Is there a penalty for death?

That is so pathetic that I can't respect it. I think it's depressing that a bunch of players sit around "punishing" anyone that doesn't play a game the way they do. Surely they have better things to do and more profitable ways to spend their time.

This is generally why I dislike PVP in the Souls games. The controls are too imprecise to consistently reward skill, and the lag often results in successful backstabs hitting your character even if your screen registers you as far away. But these things combine with jerk invaders to make it unrewarding to win -

Wonder Woman's outfit looks stupid.

I wonder if that statement can be clarified a bit. Western developers are more focused on combining gameplay with narrative for continuity while Japanese developers tend to have a narrative that isn't quite consistent with gameplay - in an American rpg, the warriors that have no magic abilities have to remy on

I demand versions of this holographic pyramid with Sailor Moon and the Sailor Senshi in it. I would pay a lot of money for that.

According to the interviews only Noctis can use magic. So those sparks must be flecks of skin burned away from going across concrete LOL.

That's why it's time for the next level. /insert explosion

Very cool. Now to incorporate that into a new Leisure Suit Larry game!

Darkest Dungeon- really enjoying that game

Hah! Me, too! I was a huge FF fan, but I have never personally finished VII. Everything about it seemed clunky and boring to me. It was quite a contrast between that and the elegant art style employed by Amano in the earlier FFs, and the story never caught my attention. VII was just not my style.
