I'd like to see DLC updating some lingering issues with the engine (the enemy tracking seems ill-calibrated), and feature more interesting enemy designs or magic effects. I think they focus so much on the magic effects animations that they end up preventing the effects from being dynamic. For example, the pendant

Did it feel like it was in the "Lord of the Rings" universe to you, or like a more generic slasher with LotR elements thrown in?

Hah! Thanks. The Ram reminds me of the lost lambs from "Catherine".

This isn't a new look for her - the design started in "Ocarina of Time". I believe she appeared like this in "Skyward Sword", as well.

Yeah, I have my critiques, but this is still my favorite series of the last few years, as well; all three of my main characters are mages in DaS II and all of my most powerful characters in DaS were mages :). I'll look for those videos - maybe I'll get a laugh out of seeing the singing rams. Danke!

I was hoping that the magic system would be beefed up so it would be less of a "lock and load" type system, and offer another dimension to combat. It is a very unimaginative system, and I think if anything, it should feel as weighty as using a different weapon, with each spell having different styles. Now that I

I would disagree. There is a wealth of material in the Silmarillion of a vastly more epic nature than what is in "The Lord of the Rings" that has barely been touched. Countless kingdoms are lost, wars are fought, and dynasties started then petered out in that part of the series. What I'd want to see is a LotR game set

I have to say that one of my favorite games for GameCube was "Kelly Slater's Pro Surfer." While I generally prefer RPGs, adventure and strategy games, that game was so enjoyable to play that it was the only GameCube game I stuck with for years. I think the last few years have shown that the general consensus is

The lack of Chiyoko always makes me sad :(***. Pretty good adaptation of the film version's most iconic scenes, though! Too bad there wasn't more Kei.

I would think that the weapons would be unnecessary with their super strength, nigh invulnerability , and etc., but the Blossom remix is giving me heavy Battle Angel Alita vibes, so I'll allow it!

Good point - many gamers argue that these "roles" are a quintessential part of human mythology, but it was actually D&D that created these roles and more recent games that solidified them.

This works really well considering that without the anthropomorphized mutant turtle aspect of the characters, the series is more about orphans/streetkids who become each other's family after being adopted by a sage-like mentor. Somewhat similar to "The Warriors" in many ways.

Anyone else remember Gwen Stefani's Harajuku Girls?

Lightsaber. No contest.

I think the poster's point was that there is very little legitimate interaction with other

I'm talking about the FF series, so I don't think FFXI or FFXIV should take the place of a normal FF game.

This makes me happy because I've always preferred to play magic users over warriors in these games.

I don't think MMOs should count as main parts of the series. They should have made multiplayer versions of a main story, with each character being played by one person, who would go through a normal story together (in other words, "Seiken Densetsu", which still stands out because of the three person control

I love this idea. It reminds me of MUDs where the mobs don't aggro. I am playing around with game concepts that don't involve genocide/xp so this concept intrigues me.
