Uh - waht?

It's hosted in Ohio on servers in Europe? It seems that "hosting" doesn't mean what I thought it meant. Or perhaps "Ohio" doesn't mean what I thought it did? Or, "Europe"? I lived in Ohio for a couple years, and I don't remember a city named Europe...

The unholy alliance to end all unholy alliances...

Just out of curiosity, what do you mean you "can't stand Lion"? What's to not like? The reversed scrolling? Some (very) old games don't work?

I was going to post this link...

I love you. It's rare that I heart-click a non-starred person, but you get one for sure. Side note: I want Andrew Wakefield and Jenny McArthy to be held criminally liable for every kid that got sick and died as a result of someone choosing not to vaccinate.

Ah. That previous comment from me was an example of me not getting it. Please make note of it as I'm sure it will never happen again...

Just a reminder to everyone. Windows 7 came out in the summer of 2009, so when I say six year old computers, I mean computers from 2003.

Cougar and mountain lion are synonyms. (For that matter, I think panther is also the same thing.)

Are you serious? Really? How many 6 year old computers will windows 7 run on? How about Windows 8? Microsoft does this every time they release an operating system.

Isn't Googletalk just Jabber compliant? Why wouldn't it work with this new app?

It would be impossible to know the flavor because the cap overpowers everything else. Whatever flavors are in the pepper aside from the heat, the world will never know.

It depends on what you're doing. The folks behind Nethack recompiled their linux/unix code to get the terminal version of Nethack for OS X Lion to work. The early versions of open office did the same thing. The Open Printing folks over at Linux have all of their stuff available for download on macs with mac-centric

OS X is officially certified Unix and is fully Posix compliant. OS X is Unix. For realsies.

I'll fix that last sentence for you: "This was somewhat true in the Windows-sucks days, not so much anymore."

I don't want to knock you; I agree fully with your sentiment. However, I'm not sure what you meant when you said "OSX is as close to a truly supported Unix experience as you're going to get."

I realize that at least part of your comment was in jest, but apple makes the world's best general-purpose pointing devices hands down. Some task could benefit from the addition of a high precision pointing device like some top-end trackballs, but for day to day use, nothing beats an apple trackpad.

It depends on whether or not the robot got me drunk first...

It would feel redundant after the "lacto-kinesis" episode.
