What hypocrisy? What double standards? "No naked people" seems like a pretty cut-and-dried single standard to me.

I just wanted to point out that one of those magazines features someone who's completely naked and the other has someone who's covered up; at least from sternum to thigh. You don't think that perhaps that had something to do with it?
Thanks guys. I watched and enjoyed this movie upon your recommendation.
Comment of the day? Comment of the week? Something like that... Perhaps greatest comment of 2012, but that might be stretching things a bit.
I frequently use headphones to watch movies. It makes a big difference.
Silly Gizmodo... While I use my mobile device while I'm on the toilet, it's not to read tech blogs that made deployed a horrible redesign several months ago that many die-hards still are unhappy about, it's to play the single greatest potty-time game ever: Tilt-to-live!
FU Gizmodo. I just bought my 4th iPhone. I had the first gen and it spent almost all of its life in a case and only became moderately beat up. I skipped the 3g and then retired my first gen to replace it with a 3gs which I dropped and broke in only a few months. Apple was kind enough to replace it for me for free even…
If at the dawn of the iPhone app store, they had written a secure encrypted iPhone BBM app, they would still be relevant right now. They could have taken that "hardware, software, services, and network" equation and put a little more importance on the profitable "services and network" part and a little less on the…
Did you see the illustrations that accompanied that article? In regards to headphones, it appears that they are discussing a standard headphone plug that can vary in length, and not replacing that plug with the dock connector.
"The patent also suggests that the cable could handle audio. While that's not terribly exciting — and might be a real headahce in terms of using third-party headphones — "
Fuck 'em. Give me an easy way to give you my money, and I will. I've spent thousands giving media companies my money via iTunes/Apple, because Apple made it easy. I've had a netflix account for years because it was easy to do. I will give you my money for your content if you just give me the chance.
I'd been carrying around my 2.5 year old 3gs with a screen that was cracked from the time I dropped it on concrete about four months ago. Then, one day it just wouldn't turn on. My friends couldn't understand why I wasn't upset about it. The reason of course, was that it meant it was NEW IPHONE TIME!
Yeah, the price seems a little extreme here.
It seems the answer is yes: [lifehacker.com]
Um... That's what they'r selling here. For $600 you actually can have an entire floor covered in awesome.
I came here to say this, but I decided to read first to see if anyone beat me to it. It was the first comment! My fellow gizmodo readers make me so proud sometimes.
Yes you can use it on windows. Apple wrote drivers for it for bootcamp. You can't do all the gestures, but the two finger scrolling works great. I often have to dual boot between windows and OS X. (I remember when the Intel based MacBook Pro was first introduced, PC Magazine wrote a review of running both windows and…
I'm of the strong opinion that they do not conflict with each other at all. Theology is fascinating to me, particularly Judeo-Christian and Muslim theology. If you set aside things like a litteral interpretation of the 6 day creation and the idea that "the flood" wiped out all living things on the planet except for…
Anything vague in a contract is likely to be decided in favor of the party with the better legal team.
Yeah, I've seen them break before too. Still, they're fantastic. (There is a medium-sized restaurant chain in Oregon and Washington that had ones where the handle was plastic instead of metal. They would break with some regularity. Many bartenders bought their own personal ones instead of using the ones that the…
