Astigmatism and cataracts are both extremely common visual impairments. Accessibility is NOT an edge-case.

I, on the other (small) hand, am glad of the rare acknowledgment that we exist. Apple certainly doesn’t seem to think we do; I suspect they could use a few more women on the ergonomic design team. And I’m a bit testy from an up-thread guy who asserts “If the standard iphone 8 is too big of a phone for you maybe you

Very small, and a lot of difference. I love that there’s phones that are comfortable for people with huge hands, but there’s an entire gender that (mostly) have smaller hands, and some of us have hands that are small even for our gender.

How is that possibly stupid? Not being able to fit your phone in your pocket elegantly is inconvenient. Not being able to fit your phone in your tiny hand is inaccessibility.  For you, small phones are a preference. For me, it’s a necessity.

Right there with you.

So I should only be able to have a smartphone if I have big man hands? Small-handed women should do without?

Leaving aside that endangering other people is not how I roll (or more properly, limp), I use a crutch with a forearm cuff and would prefer not breaking my wrist in a fit of pique.

It’s way less than most cyclists, but enough that I have to move my crutch-using self out of the way when the WALK light is on at least once a week.

My point is that there’s a substantial subset of cyclists who think “there’s not a car in my way” = “there’s nothing in my way”. I’ve dodged enough of those jerks to say my comment is not even slightly a straw man reply to your comment, which was exactly “Why do you care if a cyclist “turns left of red when there is

As a pedestrian, I care a lot about that cyclist blowing through a stoplight/stop sign/turning right on red without slowing when there’s no car coming, and I’m in the intersection with the right of way. As a disabled pedestrian, I’m rapidly losing the ability to dodge that cyclist.

Looks like I’ll continue to vainly hope for a new iPhone that a person with smaller hands can use without having to hold it in both hands. Here’s hoping my iPhone 5 doesn’t die.

Oh, it was totally petty of me. But my neighborhood has enough restaurants that I don’t need to risk an eye-rolling injury.

Agreed. There’s a restaurant in my neighborhood that had a ‘sammy on the menu. I coudnt bring myself to even go in the door.

I just feel like it needs pointing out...Ryan Magers was, at the time of his ex-girlfriends abortion, an unemployed 19 year old trying to pressure a 16 year old high school student, who hed reportedly pressured into sex, into continuing an unwanted pregnancy that was only six weeks along, against not only her wishes

I especially enjoyed this brutal line from Ty Burr’s scathing review in the Boston Globe:

What casting director looked at Mr. Gill’s picture and thought “I think Ill call ScarJo, rather than “Get me Chaz Bono’s number right now!”?

10.3.3. Battery life leaves something to be desired, and I’d like a better camera, but I love that sweet small enough to fit in my tiny hand screen size that later models lack.

Remember it? I’m using it.

I’d love to see Transparent continue. And I’d like to see the part of Maura continue, but recast with a transwoman actress. Completely without comment, as though she’d been there all along.

Disagree. Hiring Patty Jenkins to direct Wonder Woman is the smartest thing Warner Brothers & DC has ever done.
