I really dislike this take, If I had enough (i.e. ~$150m+ after taxes) I wouldn’t do shit all day but be with my kids. There are not enough hours in a day if I could freeze time, let alone to be using some of it at work.

It can be a tricky thing to retroactively judge people based on contemporary social attitudes. In this case I think it’s right that the award is being withheld. It may have been the 70s and 80s, but Bushnell’s behaviour would still have been considered sexist. People were just more likely to shrug sexist behaviour off

Toucher & Rich?

Admitted old person who DOES not understand stanced vehicles (or drifting, or ‘hooning’). Why on earth is it considered attractive to make an otherwise beautiful car look like it was slapped together from a cheap erector set and then covered by plastic shelf lining stapled in place? Do they then paint the damn thing

Counterpoint: Please God no

*Attenborough voice* “When deprived for too long of its natural human prey, the vicious Australian Drop-Bear will resort to cannibalism and turn on its own...”

People complain about plotholes when they don’t enjoy a movie. In this case it’s likely they felt emotionally disconnected from everything that was happening on screen because of shoddy characters with flimsy connections. Characters and their relationships were under-serviced because the disjointed movie was packed

People keep bringing up this is a movie about failure to somehow shield it from criticism because it somehow is breaking new ground... but Empire was about failure. In fact I’d say Empire is even more about failure because they actually failed. Han captured, Luke defeated.. you know failure. People died in Last Jedi

It’s going to be the same as what the CLS is to the E class. The CLA is already an A class. The Sedan will have more space, and exactly the same interior and drivetrain. Everything from the b-pillar forward will be nearly identical.

My most incredible flight experience was a 1st class bump on a Virgin 747 from Orlando, FL to London, UK. A quick hit list of perks that blew my mind:

Only they were blunt and effusive about the fact that she was female and was an excellent driver who put in an excellent lap.

The broader market version is called an E-Class.

> What makes Syndrome the villain?

I am comfortable that in my jurisdiction, he would not be charged. Could be wrong, but don’t think so. Even assuming a broadening of the criminal code to include “coerced participation,” I can’t imagine any prosecutor bringing this case under such a theory. As I understand it, one event took place on a phone call;

For what crime? He’s an absolute scumbag, but it appears he asked for permission each time if I’m reading it right. It’s still harassment, but is there a crime?

Not even vaguely funny....

Where does this place on the list?

That’s bullshit, he could easily buy it at a gun show or from a private individual because they do not require background checks. It’s you that needs to check your facts moron.

I’m traveling so I’m behind, but - wait, Mudd repeatedly murders Captain Lorca, and they punish him just like they did in “I, Mudd”, by putting him back together with his shrew of a wife?!?!?!? Am I the only person here who wonders if the Last 50 Years exist at all for the writers of Discovery...?
