Tampering with an on-road vehicle’s emission controls (your daily driver) has been illegal for as long as I can remember. The EPA is now saying that even if you have a dedicated race car, it has to have the same emissions controls that it came with. I’m not sure I see how this is the fault of “ricers and coal rollers.”

if a motor vehicle is covered by a certificate of conformity at any point, there is no exemption from the tampering and defeat-device prohibitions that would allow for converting the engine or vehicle for competition use. Well, it only works in stop and go traffic, so.......

I just can’t get past the interior, otherwise I love it.

Too bad it wasn’t AllState Insurance, the joke about slipping through their hands would’ve written itself.

Hello Captain, I made the following video to show how the CVT works in my 3.6R. It really isn’t bad at all. Maybe the smaller engines are worse, but I love mine.

Is it a win? Yes.

Fair point, but most Ridgeline owners will rarely have a load of widgets and the wise ones will take the spare out before loading the truck. Speaking only for myself, I would rarely be carrying a load of widgets far enough from home that I couldn’t go get my jack and take the wheel off to get fixed, never requiring
