Not a chance. It’s literally a manga about decoding and solving puzzles. When the puzzles are language-based, as many of them are, they become difficult or even impossible to translate, let alone localize. I promise you, the writer (singular, not writers) is spending his time thinking up compelling puzzles as well as

Some things just aren’t possible to translate while retaining the original sense and meaning. The classic example is “Only read Camus’s La Peste in French” since a lot of the value in the original is that he chooses his words to evoke a droning sound, like the buzzing of flies, a thing a translator probably could not

Or, they did it for just Japanese speakers to enjoy. Not everything is about trolling.

You sure do spend a lot of time typing out comments that skirt the line of defending bigots.  Stop dancing around it, just be honest for a change.

How DARE they take the award away from the hard working ‘Prompt Engineer’.

Do you know how many years of practice and study it took to hone the craft necessary to type inDestiny Guardian. Silhouette. Floating over ground. Good picture for contest please”

I find it hard to believe that it is really profitable.  To me it feels like the idea of a service like this is you start out with such a screaming deal that you get a ton of users, and then you start to actually monetize it when everyone’s parked there.  Even if everyone plays one game a month I don’t see how you get

It seems to be suprising many people on here so far. Some of they are so in deniall they are accusing CMA of lying. Even though microsoft was the one who gave them the information in the 1st place.

I ended up dedicating an entire months worth of my gaming time just to complete my playthrough of Persona 5 Royal, because I knew I wouldn’t finish it before it left Gamepass otherwise.

That’s the question people have been asking for literal years and the answer, for most developers and most games, is that it doesn’t work.

IT’s bizarre how some people are trying to treat this like a gotcha. Like duh. The whole point of gamepass is free games. Why would I spend money on a subscription service if I was going to buy those same games anyway

The other factor to take into account is that they can incentivize big publishers and studios (with multiple games in the pipelines) to take part with the promise of future placements. For indie ones, they may not be able to reap any rewards.

It’s not about people buying the game after they play it on GamePass-- it’s the visuals they earn from being front-and-center. There are a bazillion games on the Storefront. Getting to the top of GamePass gets eyes on your product. This is extremely true for indie games.

Surprising nobody. Microsoft makes up for the lost sales by compensating the developer/publisher just like Epic does with their free games.

It has to eat into sales.  Might help certain games where people are on the fence, might help games that score low 8s or high 7s...where its a real subjective experience....but anything first party.  Presumably the bulk of your sales come from franchise fans and console loyalists (at least the initial core)...these

For all we know that may be part of the movie.

She is a gaming streamer with tourettes. Also runs several small businesses.  I watched her once or twice.

As a queer person, I didn’t read it as a Bury Your Gays at all – they didn’t die because of homophobic brutality or tragedy, they died because they were old and content, it’s really the most beautiful, sweet, and sad episode of TV I’ve seen in a long time.

All the time with this weaksauce shit.

I love how "I like to do my own research" has become such a convenient shorthand for me to instantly dismiss the person saying it as a complete fúcking moron.

I expect High On Life has already done the majority of the business it’s going to do - short-ish single player games don’t tend to have a long sales tail, especially when they hit the cultural zeitgeist like this. If you don’t have the money/time to play a game like this now, then in, say, 6 months when you do, are
